Abitalia's design process

Abitalia is unique in that we provide design solutions for every environment - 360°. Whereas many studios may solely feature bathrooms or kitchens, our design studio adheres to the Italian principal: one destination for all of your interior requirements. This approach enables design continuity in a project, cost control, management and complete project oversight.

In addition, we understand that managing a project can be complex and demanding. Therefore, by working alongside you with our product knowledge and experience, we can reduce the energy required to make key design decisions. By helping you navigate through the process we endeavour to give you transparency and a better understanding of how we can best address your requirements.

Stage 1 - Initial Consultation

Usually by means of an informal discussion, we listen to your requirements and ideas for your project. Whether through submtting architectural drawings or arranging a site visit, we gather necessary information and dimensions to produce a proposal.

Stage 2 - Proposals

From our intial conversations we will produce a series of design concepts with product-specific information together with a guide cost. At this stage we endeavour to refine the design, responding to your feedback. It may be necessary to arrange further site visits depending on the project to liase with contractors and confirm costs. As there is no charge for our design work, any proposal drawn up remains the property of Abitalia.

Stage 3 - Final Proposal and Confirmation

Based on the final proposal we produce an itemised breakdown of costs and responsibilities of each party. A contract is signed and a deposit placed - usually 30% of the project value. At this point the client receives all the required technical drawings, renderings and product-specific infomation to assist in site preparation. All orders are place and an indication of delivery, and if applicable, installation dates are sent to you. Delivery of our items is dependent upon the products in question and is usually between 6 to 8 weeks.

Stage 4 - Installation and Completion

Each project will have different requirements. If Abitalia is employed to install your furniture we use highly qualified tradesmen and contractors. Alternatively, we can personally recommend individuals who we are confident of their workmanship if you prefer to liase directly with them. Or finally if the project is supply only we ensure that all goods are received in perfect condition. Regardless of how you decided to manage your project, we will work with you and provide as much assistance as we can until you are completely satisfied.

Conditions of Sale

Upon placing an order, you will be asked to sign a contract and pay a deposit of thirty percent of the total value, with the remaining balance to be paid in full before delivery. In many instances, the installation amount is retained by the client, until the installation is complete and signed off by you and one of our designers. Please note that for orders with a value under £5,000 we require payment in full upon order confirmation.
